Hi, I’m Jane! After spending over twenty years working in print and digital design and production, I took time out to travel. During this time I was inspired by the beautiful flora and fauna and developed a love for nature and the outdoors.
Much of my travelling was by sail boat where resources were limited. Managing supplies inspired me to think creatively about; water harvesting, energy consumption, recycling and repurposing. And after witnessing the obvious effects of climate change; bleached coral reefs, sea level rise, destruction of habitats, islands and oceans full of waste, I was inspired to make a career change and began to learn more about the natural world and the principles of a circular economy, an economic model focused on reusing, repairing, refurbishing, and recycling products and materials to minimise waste and pollution, decoupling growth from resource depletion.
Ethos
Human-made materials has exceeded the total mass of all organic, living biomass on Earth. This milestone was reached around the year 2020, marking a symbolic point in a proposed new geological epoch called the Anthropocene, where humans are the dominant force shaping the planet.
Biodiversity is in seriously rapid decline. Worldwide, approximately one species goes EXTINCT EVERY HOUR and Britain is one of the most nature depleted countries of all. Chemicals, deforestation, overdevelopment and industrialisation of food production, all contribute to this.

Our food chain is in collapse, so it's more important than ever for us to do whatever we can - in whatever spaces we have available - in order to help the environment and wildlife. Without them we can't survive.
Our connection with nature has diminished, we need to reconnect and remind ourselves that we ARE nature!
